It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan E. Hizny of Pittston, Pennsylvania, born in Swoyersville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 12, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dominick Long and Marion Long (Marinko); and her brother Robert Long. She is survived by: her children, Denise Heidi Long, Thomas Hizny and Debbie Anderson; her granddaughter Jeannine Carver (Josh); her daughter Jennifer Tierney; and her brother Thomas Long. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
