He was predeceased by: his wife Ann Marie Keating Shevlin of Tobyhanna; his parents, Madeline (Saxton) and James Joseph Shevlin Sr. of Scranton; and his sisters, Marian Shevlin and Patricia Pethick (James Pethick) of Scranton.
He is survived by: his son Patrick J. Shevlin of Jersey City, N. J.; his sister Karen Swackhamer (Richard) of Cranford, N. J.; and his sisters-in-law, Natalie R. Keating of Nazareth and Jane K. Doran (Arthur) of Staunton, VA.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
