She was predeceased by: her parents, LaRue E. Smith Jr. and Florence Adams Smith; and her brother LaRue E "Eddie" Smith III. She is survived by: her husband Joseph DeMuro; her children, Angela DeMuro (Douglas Burak), Gina DeMuro Kenney (Thomas), Dr. Maria DeMuro Winters (Justin) and Joseph DeMuro; her grandchildren, Dominic (Ashley), Nicholas, Michael, Thomas and Johnny; her great grandchild Scarlet Rose; and her sister Rebecca Smith of New Bern, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
