He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Brown and Marie Brown (Proper); and his siblings, William, Kenneth, LaRue, Richard, Leonard, Earl Brown, Ruth Nelson, Betty Long and Alice McGraw.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ward Brown; and his children, Linda McConnell, Tim Brown, Kevin Brown (Penny) and Sherri Barber (Michael). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
