He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smith and Pearl Smith; his granddaughter Erin Reese; and his siblings, Billy, Don, Royce, Joyce, Mark and Martha.

He is survived by: his wife Janet M. Smith of Pittsfield; his children, Annette Smith of Edinboro, Colleen Delycure (Michael) of Cambridge Springs, Rebecca Reese (Rod) of Sugar Grove and Charles Smith of Pittsfield; his grandchildren, Katie Penley, Mandy Wallace, Jacob Delycure, Hannah McCormick (Doug), Nate Delycure (Noelle), Adam Reese (Andrea) and Isaac Reese; his great grandchildren, Harper, Roland, Raina and Archie; and his sister Mary Lou Ransom (Paul) of Erie.

Memorial donations may be made to the Sanford United Methodist Church, 2550 Sanford Rd, Pittsfield, PA 16340.
