He was predeceased by: his parents, John Stanbro and Arlene Stanbro Ross (Roger); his wife Marian L. Stanbro; his sons, John Mathers Jr., Mark, James, Patrick and Donald Stanbro; and his siblings, Charlotte Brown, John, Sherman, Richard Stanbro and Clyde Ross.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Stanbro of Corry, Gerald "Dutch" Mathers of Pittsfield, Debra Dorman (Robert) of Columbus, Susan Hopkins (Richard) of Jamestown, NY and Gregory Stanbro (Amy) of Pittsfield. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
