It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Henry Groll (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), who passed away on November 2, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Walter leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Walter may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Groll and John Groll; and his brothers, Bill and John. He is survived by: his daughter Dianne Frankovich (Joe); his grandsons, Matthew and Colton; and his brother Frank. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Timothy K. Slater Funeral Services, Inc. (425 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15210). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 1:15 PM at the St. John Vianney Cemetery (920 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15210).
