Viola (Mosco) Madden Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 26, 2024, at the age of 96, Viola (Mosco) Madden (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James William Madden Sr.; her parents, Salvatore Mosco and Julia Mosco (Buzzelli); and her sister Edith Kopinski. She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Rakow (late Robert W. Rakow) and James W. Madden Jr. (Mary Lou Madden); her grandchildren, Jaime (Rakow), Cerilli (Denny Cerilli), Robert J. (RJ), Anthony P. Rakow (Amanda Rakow), Marybeth (Madden), Jowers (Brian Jowers) and James W. Madden IV (Nicole Madden); her great grandchildren, Salvatore, Dominic Cerilli, Cole, Eva, Ryan, Mila Rakow, Aiden Jowers and Penelope Viola Madden; her siblings, Anthony Mosco, Alphonse Mosco, Christopher Mosco, Elizabeth Martrano, Philomina Kutosky and Mariann Mosco; and her goddaughter Julie Hester. She is also survived by her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Walter J. Zalewski Funeral Home (216 44th St, Pittsburgh, PA 15201). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (3058 Brereton St, Pittsburgh, PA 15219).
