He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Miller Gordon and Mary Pascoe Gordon Provost; his brother Robert Miller Gordon, Jr.; his child Chris; his wife Kathryn "Katie" Gordon (Kathryn) of Thornburg, PA; his children, Dr. Amy H. Gordon (Jim) of Baltimore, MD, Timothy H. Gordon (Wendy) of Sewickley, PA, Sara L. Gordon McCargo (Tom) of Sewickley, PA, Jim Edson (Linda) of Tetonia, Kris Edson (Helen) of State College, PA, Sarah Gauthier (Jay) of Fayston, VT, Michael Edson of Bayonne, NJ, Annie Lassiter (Nolan) of Denver, CO and Katy Koppanyi (Andras) of Midlothian, VA.; his former wife Nancy Hannon Gordon; and his son Christopher Marshall Gordon. He was also cherished by 30 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society.
