He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles J. Dowling and Marie Dowling (Bickel). He is survived by: his siblings, Charles J. Dowling, Jr. and Terry; his aunt Eleanor Steinmetz; and his pets, Lucky, Dusty and Oatmeal.
