He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Heinz Leslie; and his brother Carl Leslie. He is survived by: his parent Dr. Merle R.; his sisters, Eleanor Lucas and Linda VanVlack; his children, Scott Leslie (Kelly), Lisa Swiggett (Hank), Craig Leslie and Kristen Gardner (Jeff); his grandchildren, Tucker Leslie, Casey Leslie (Tori), Tate Leslie (Jessica), Keaton Leslie (Samantha), Bailey Preusse (Andrew), Jamie, Blake Swiggett and Russell Gardner; and his great grandchildren, Anderson, Cole, Forrest and Henry.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh (UPMC Children's Hospital Foundation) or Chautauqua Institution Foundation, (Chautauqua Fund) reflecting his commitment to helping others.
