It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell L. Bowe Sr. of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 26, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dolly Mae Bowe (Arnold) and Robert James Bowe; his wife Vernelle Joyce Jefferson; and his siblings, Pauline, Robert, Margaret (Bill), Clarence, Albert, Inez, Hughes (Lois), Dorothy, Claude and Charles (Sharon).
He is survived by: his children, Russell Jr., Sheila Turner (Jerome) and Michelle Bowe (Pritchett); his grandchildren, Justin Turner (Stevvaie), Jamal Tullis (Marquita), Jevon Rushton, Antoine Bowe (Jennifer), Jaleesa Bowe, Jaya Bowe, Lauren Pritchett, Monte Brandon Pritchett, Jarren Pritchett and Joshua Bowe; his great grandchildren, Ja'Myah, Mikha, Nate, Ava, Jonn, Adrian, Jayden, Jalen and Monroe; his sisters-in-law, Geraldine Bowe, Clarine Jefferson and Elaine Bowe; and his close friend June Green.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the House of Law, Inc. (9406 Frankstown Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15235). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Baptist Temple (7241 Race St, Pittsburgh, PA 15208).
