She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond F. Kennedy and Elizabeth M. Kennedy (Bauerle); her husband Herbert W. Shimp; and her siblings, Grace E. Dees Esterberg, Raymond E. Kennedy, Eileen M. Spoales and Robert M. Kennedy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brusco-Falvo Funeral Home (214 Virginia Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15211). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Mount Church (403 Grandview Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15211). A burial was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Calvary Cemetery (718 Hazelwood Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15217).
In lieu of flowers, family suggests donation to the UPMC Children's Hospital Foundation.
