It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nicholas J. Cheberenchick Jr. (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), who passed away on October 23, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Nicholas leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Nicholas may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his wife Arlene Cheberenchick (Johnston). He is survived by: his children, Christopher, Beth, Nicholas (Maria) and Steve (Tracy); his grandson Aden; his sister Judy Matthews (Joe); and his godson Mike Kowalski (Erin). He is also survived by nephews and many cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc. (4201 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15227). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Bernard Church (311 Washington Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15216).
