He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Gloria Fox; his children, Janet Schwartz (Ansel), Lisa Lurie (Brian) and Ann Landay (late Freddy); his siblings, Norman Berkowitz (late Lenore) and Jeanette Cortez; and his grandchildren, Mariel, Louis, Zoe Schwartz, Michelle, Gillian Lurie, Dylan and Taylor Landay. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

The family requests that donations be made to Weinberg Terrace to establish an art therapy program in their father's honor.
