He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Chermak and Bertha Chermak; and his brother Robert "Bo". He is survived by: his wife Joanne; his children, Todd, Brian Chermak (Maureen), Ryann, Brett, Nathan and Keegan; and his siblings, Linda Lee Chermak and James Chermak (Kathy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A reception was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc. (4201 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15227). A prayer was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
