With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Jane Mackay (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 19, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Mackay; her parents, Paul R. Pachuta and Mary Pachuta (Fedor); her son Paul James Mackay; and her grandchild Ashley Mackay.
She is survived by: her children, Robert (Charity), Karen Hornak (Mark) and Mary; her siblings, Paul G. Pachuta (Carol) and Carole Funaro (Pachuta); her grandchildren, Paul Regis, Geoffrey, Amanda, Justin, Noah and Rebecca Gillenberger; and her great grandchildren, Paul Regis, Jr., Tristan, Luke and Reagan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Inc. (2323 E Carson St, Pittsburgh, PA 15203). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church (1720 Jane St, Pittsburgh, PA 15203).
