She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas Flajnik and Anne Flajnik (Benec); her husband John "Jack" Furar; her daughter Susan Furar; and her siblings, Anna Paulin, Helen Horvatich, William Flajnik and Vicky Flajnik.
She is survived by: her children, Bob Furar (Kitty), John Furar (Beth) and Joanne Maier; her grandchildren, Emily Harford (Tom), Sarah Gwin (Dan), Nick Furar, Alison Maier and Abby Maier; her great grandchildren, Miles and Adam Gwin; and her sister Catherine Flajnik. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thomas M. Smith Funeral Home and Crematory Ltd. (930 Center Ave, Blawnox, PA 15238). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph Church (342 Dorseyville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15215). A burial was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Thomas M. Smith Funeral Home and Crematory Ltd. (930 Center Ave, Blawnox, PA 15238).
