In loving memory of Mary D. Benvenuti (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), who departed this world on January 27, 2025 at the age of 85. Mary leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughter Anita Merlino; her son-in-law Joseph W. Merlino Sr.; her friend Diane Peluso; her sisters, Sylvia Donatelli and Nellie DeRiso; and her parents, Lena Benvenuti and Joseph Benvenuti.
She is survived by: her daughter Cathy McCracken (Rosco); her grandchildren, Jimmy Langdon (Heather), Joseph W. Merlino Jr. (Alicia), Lena Boyza (Michael W.) and Nicholas Merlino (Jamie); her niece Claudia Bertoni (Dan); and her friends, Big Jim and Char.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Perman Funeral Home (923 Saxonburg Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15223). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Stanislaus Kostka R. C. Church (57 21st St, Pittsburgh, PA 15222).
The family respectfully suggests donations be made to The Animal Friends of Pittsburgh or The University of Pittsburgh Alzheimer's Disease Research Center.
