She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecelia Walsh Horne and Peter Stewart Horne; her husband Thomas F. Cloherty Jr.; and her brother-in-law Bill Hitlan. She is survived by: her children, Beth Albright (Dale), Sally Masci (Val), Meg Owens (Jim), Amy Dixon (Joe), Tom Cloherty (Joanne), Nora Koper (Doug), Molly Cloherty and Maura Neville (Chris); her grandchildren, Liz Sibenac (Mark), Carolyn Albright, Michael Albright (Lia), Stephen Albright, Emily Owens, Madelyn Owens (Nick Paloma), Zachary Dixon (Mollie), John Dixon (Katie), Anne, Sarah, Joseph Cloherty, Abby Longwell (John) and Colin Neville; her great grandchildren, Ella, Alex, Mason, Maria, Julia, Charlotte, Archie, Everett, Louis, Aiden and Wyatt; and her sister Patricia. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and Cloherty cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home (500 Greenfield Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15207). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St Rosalia Church (411 Greenfield Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15207).
Memorial Donations in Mary's honor may be made to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and Little Sister's of the Poor.
