We are sad to announce that on December 24, 2024, at the age of 92, Marvis S. McCoy (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Marvis may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Marvis touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband George W. "Hipper" McCoy; her sons, Mark McCoy (late Elise), Tim McCoy and Paul McCoy (Sonia); her grandchildren, Ashley, Connor, Aaron and Sophia; her great grandchildren, Jayden and Ella; and her brother George "Sonny" Simpson. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the William Slater II Funeral Service (1650 Greentree Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15220). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Park (401 Curry Hollow Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15236).
