She is survived by: her husband James Michael Matus; her children, Laura Timko (Tim), James Matus (Natalie), Thomas Matus (Susan), Steven Matus (Stephanie) and Susan Harding (Scott); her grandchildren, Christopher Timko (Carly Hoffman), Sarah Timko (Seth Dawson), Jordan Matus, Megan Harding (Nolan Foster), Brad Matus (Haley Marra), Nicole Matus, Bailey Harding and Paige Matus; and her great grandchildren, Jameson and Jett Matus. She is also survived by neighbors and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John F. Slater Funeral Home (4201 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15227). A prayer was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 10:15 AM at the Our Lady of Hope Parish (7003 Baptist Rd, Bethel Park, PA 15102). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to the Clear Thoughts Foundation, https://clearthoughtsfoundation.org, a nonprofit organization located in Pittsburgh whose primary purpose is to raise funds to discover breakthrough drugs and novel treatments to stop the progression of dementia and eventually eliminate this terrible disease.
