She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Leslie Elizabeth Foxworth-Waddell and Frank Roy Waddell; her husband Lewis Simmons; her children, Johanna, Jon Leslie and Jaye Orlando; her daughter-in-law Ashley; her grandchildren, Raechel Leigh (Texas), Leslie Sherrill (South Carolina), Raishawn and Kayla (New Jersey); her great grandchildren, Jaquan (Pennsylvania), Dameon (Texas), Alahni (New Jersey) and Emonnie (South Carolina); her great great grandchildren, Chance, Jaden and Deonna; her sister-in-law Annabelle Colquitt of Philadelphia, PA; her siblings, Jimmie Lee and Charles Elliott; and her pet Shy. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and friends.
