He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Nist and Frieda Nist (Gollob); his sister Cynthia E. Hill (late Walter); and his sister-in-law Roberta Drugwood (late Raymond). He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Nist (Smith); his son Joseph A. Nist, II; his sisters, Margaret A. Devlin (Joseph) and Susan Nist; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Smith (Dee), David Smith (Joyce) and Carole Tarby (late Joseph). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
