He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph E. Muenz and Marcella R. Muenz; and his brother Robert Muenz. He is survived by: his siblings, Fran Kelly, Mary "Pat" Stickle (Bill), Marcella "Marcy" Rakers (Paul "Hobie") and Ruth Anne Boccardi (Anthony "Tony"). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
