With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John J. Gmiter Jr. (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), who passed away on February 21, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Carol Gmiter; his children, Kimberly Tucci and Stacey DeMarzo (David); his grandchildren, Gabriela, Christian, Jonathan, Michael and Tiara; his sister Bonnie Thurner (Gene) of Harmonsburg, PA.; and his parents, John Gmiter and Jean Gmiter.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Inc. (2323 E Carson St, Pittsburgh, PA 15203). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Adalbert Church (160 S 15th St, Pittsburgh, PA 15203).
