He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Augustine, Sr. and Marion Augustine (Aspley). He is survived by: his wife Marietta Augustine (Abbruzzese); his children, Julianne Karman, John M. Augustine (Felecia), Angus M. Augustine, Robert Nathan, Joshua Karman, Aubrey, Logan and Jaxon Augustine; and his siblings, Jean Handlos (late George) and Eleanor "Sis" Shore (late Robert). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, John's family suggests contributions to Hillman Cancer Center, 5115 Centre Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15232.
