As Jean departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Jean may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Jean leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Alvin and Beulah Mae Wilson Casto (Jeanie). She is survived by: her husband Herk Hamm; her children, Erin Elizabeth Thomas (Michael) and Chas Hamm; and her sister Linda Casto Armstrong. She is also survived by numerous brothers and sisters in law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Slater Funeral Directors (112 Fort Couch Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15241). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Resurrection Parish (126 Fort Couch Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15241). A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Stone Church Cemetery.
