It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janice L. Strickler (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), who passed away on November 19, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Janice may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Janice touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Strickler and Beatrice Devore Strickler. She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Debbie Engstrom (Todd) of Round Rock, Crawford McFerran (Tish) of York, PA, Kelley Suwak of North Strabane, PA, Katherine Arnowitt (Rick) of Jupiter, FL, John Suwak (Tamara) of McMurray, PA and Glenn McFerran (Laura) of McMurray, PA.; her sister Edith Suwak (Robert); and her nephew Robert "RJ" Suwak.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peters Township Funeral Home (2828 Washington Rd, Canonsburg, PA 15317).
The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Washington Area Humane Society or Penn State University.
