With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James A. McKiernan of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, born in Cortland, New York, who passed away on September 17, 2021 at the age of 77. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. McKiernan and Marjorie E. McKiernan (Brown); his father-in-law John "Jack" Fitzgerald; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Wood and Craig Oakley.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Eileen McKiernan (Fitzgerald); his siblings, Stephen McKiernan and Christine L. Oakley; his nieces and nephews, R. J. Wood, Kelly Wood, Carrie Marcelo (Carl) and Christopher Oakley (Arlo); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ryan and Charlotte Marcelo; his mother-in-law Mary Catherine Fitzgerald; and his siblings-in-law, Kathleen A. Wood and Jack Fitzgerald.
