He was predeceased by: his parents, Laverne Diederich (Koehler) and Roy John Diederich; and his parents-in-law, Carl Hottes and Clara Hottes. He is survived by: his wife Joan Diederich (Hottes); his sister Jill Heider (Diederich); his daughters, Gretchen Green, Katherine Vogel and Ann Diederich; his nephews, Peter Daniel John and Aaron; and his grandchildren, Gannon, Gibson Jack and Luke.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 5:30 PM at the Pittsburgh Golf Club (5280 Northumberland St, Pittsburgh, PA 15217).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation in his name to the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy or the Neighborhood Academy.
