He was predeceased by: his brother John Carl Mesher (Carol). He is survived by: his wife Barbara V. Mesher (Vasiloff); his children, Karen M. Mesher and George E. Mesher Jr. (Trish); his grandchildren, Kristen Miller (David), Justine Chervansky (David), Christopher Mesher and George E. Mesher, III; his great grandchildren, Grace, Jude and Luke; and his sister Patricia Koscelnik (Richard). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
