He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Greek; his wife Dee Chronis (Telakis); his children, Elaine Vitsas and Ted Chronis (Christine); his granddaughters, Alexis Vitsas and Alaina Vitsas; and his siblings, Kiki Plastiras (George) and John Telakis (Mary). He was also cherished by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in George's honor to the Audubon Society of Western PA.
