He was predeceased by: his parents, James J. Scholl Sr. and Yolanda Scholl (Petrucci); his brother James J. Scholl Jr.; his sister-in-law Lea Denise Scholl; and his niece Nicole Marie Strain (Scholl).

He is survived by: his nephew James J Scholl III (Sheri Bujnowski); his great-nephews, Anthony and Steven Strain; his uncle Ronnie; and his aunt Pam Scholl.
