He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Stokes and Margaret Stokes (King); his wife Dorothy Plucinski (Pierce) of Lawrenceville; and his siblings, Agnes, Marge, Harry and Richard.
He is survived by: his sons, Jerry (Connie), Dan (Sue) and Dave (Mary); his grandchildren, Jonathan (Stina), Michael (Krista), Kimberly, Jim (Laura), Bill, Heather Bittner (Sean), Jennifer Carroll (Jim) and Autumn Stotlemyer (Paul); and his great grandchildren, Dylan Bittner, Chris, Andrew Stokes, Austin, Ryland, Jase Carroll, Ivy, Ali Stotlemyer and Ben Stokes.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Walter J. Zalewski Funeral Home (216 44th St, Pittsburgh, PA 15201). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Augustine Church (225 37th St, Pittsburgh, PA 15201).
