He was predeceased by: his wife Dolores "Lorie" Rebholz (Kaib). He is survived by: his daughters, Jeanine McPaul (Neal), Judy Mastrean (late Michael), Janice Brueckner (Douglas), Joyce Giese (Robert), Jill Stevens (James) and Jennifer Maurer (John); and his grandchildren, Kelly Norris, Tracy Wright, Jamie Rich, Angela Mastrean, Michael, Mark, Scott Brueckner, Sarah, Matthew Stevens, Jackson and Samantha Maurer. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received 3-8 p. m. Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at the HUGHES FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1501 Lowrie Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 – Troy Hill (Gene's family respectfully requests that everyone please wear a mask at the visitation and the Funeral Mass).
