It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edris Wynsome Stewart of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 18, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edith Duggan Stewart and Levi Stewart; and her sister Rosemary. She is survived by: her siblings, Joseph, Levi, Herma, Calys, Carl and Claude; and her children, Yajeh, Ngani and Nginyu. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

At age 69, as Covid raged on, she was diagnosed with glioblastoma–a terminal brain cancer.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in her honor to the Pittsburgh Prison Book Project (http://pghprisonbookproject.org) or by bringing a children's book to her service to be donated to an elementary classroom in need.
