She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles F. Mellin and Geraldine E. Mellin. She is survived by: her daughters, Jessica Kent and Ashley Kent.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Orphan Angels Cat Sanctuary or the ANNA Shelter of Erie, PA, or to the American Cancer Society in remembrance of Denise.
