He was predeceased by: his parent Willie L. Simpson. He is survived by: his mother Shirley A. Brown Simpson of Warren, OH; his sons, Daniel L. Simpson II (D'Erika) of Columbus, OH, Daric Anthony Simpson of Noble, OH and Julian Bryce Simpson (Harmoni) of Warren, OH; his sister Marcell Therese Johnson of Warren, OH; his fiancé Chaunese Turner of Pittsburgh; his grandchildren, Lanaija Simpson of Columbus, OH, Damari Simpson of Columbus, OH and Tristan Simpson of Columbus, OH; his nephews, Jaylon Johnson (Danielle) and Dario Rodriquez; and his niece Arinna Johnson. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
He was a member of Solid Rock Foundation Ministries and enjoyed golfing, body building, singing and playing the saxophone.
