He was predeceased by: his father Harold Kohr; and his brother Kenneth. He is survived by: his mother Suzanne Kohr (Hively); his siblings, Steven, Charles (Priscilla), Alan, Cindy and Linda; his significant other Rita McGee; and his children, Danielle Kohr, Chelsea Kohr, Kaitlyn Kohr and James McGee Jr.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Albert Great Blessed Trinity Parish (3198 Schieck St, Pittsburgh, PA 15227).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to be made in his name.
