With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Clarence LaMar Swindle (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 3, 2025 at the age of 78. He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon L. Swindle and Mattie F. Bray (Swindle); his granddaughter Maurlaya Faith Thomas; and his siblings, Athens Abdul Rabb, Haywood James Swindle and Evelyn Joyce Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Minnie Mae Swindle (Murphy); his children, Talitha Swindle of Braddock, PA, Tanisha Rae Swindle-Thomas of Pittsburgh, PA and Taji Lamar Clarence Swindle of Duluth, GA; his grandchildren, Ajaylah Mae Lee Thompkins, Tahja Azhani Swindle, Aysaiah Marie Thomas, Talib Nasir Bracey, Talia Hope Swindle and Tia Faith Swindle; his great grandchild Chanie Lee Rae Platt; and his sisters, Barbara A. Still (DeWayne), Marian J. Swindle and Lillie A. Swindle of McKeesport. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church (271 Paulson Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15206). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Home Going Service. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies (1158 Morgan Rd, Bridgeville, PA 15017).
