She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thurman and Elsie Thurman (Holder); and her siblings, Elizabeth Beamer, Mattie Louise Trent-Young, James William Thurman and Donald Francis Thurman.
She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Gooden (Robert). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at the St. James A. M. E. Church (444 Lincoln Ave, East Liberty, PA 15206).
