It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Ruby of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on October 20, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Herman Edgar Ruby; and her parents, Robert Saunders and Helen Saunders (Beales). She is survived by: her daughters, Nancy Burt of Swansboro and Peggy Ogburn (Fred) of Camden, SC; her grandchildren, David Burt (Beth) of Cary, NC and Lee Ogburn (Jennifer) of Ponchatoula, LA; her great grandchild Triston Ogburn of Portland, Oregon; her granddaughter Christine Burt Patterson; her great grandchildren, Sheridan, Jon Michael and Aaron of Fletcher, NC.; and her sister Dorothy Atkinson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Hospice in Wilmington, NC or to Swansboro United Methodist Church.
