He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew J. Gerst and Betty Quatman Gerst Fink (Max); and his sister Maxine Craven. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Kythryn Gerst; his children, Michele Kriedler (William) and Dawn Mullins (George); his brother Robert "Bob" Gerst; his grandchildren, William Andrew Kriedler and Hope Elizabeth Kriedler; and his great grandchild Hunter Andrew Kriedler.
