We are sad to announce that on November 18, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Alden C. Read (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edgar Calmer and Priscilla Calmer (Alden Hatch); her husband Robert O. Read, Jr.; her children, Charles of Princeton, NJ, Otis of Warren, RI, Priscilla and John (Pittsburgh); her brother Regan Calmer of Little Neck, NY; her grandchildren, Max, Miles and Eliza; and her great grandchildren, Gus and Ronan.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation in Alden's honor to the Longwood at Oakmont Memorial Garden Fund (via check to the Presbyterian SeniorCare Foundation, 1215 Hulton Road, Oakmont, PA 15139 with a designation to the Longwood at Oakmont Garden Fund) or to Phipps Conservancy.
