He was predeceased by: his father George Cheripka. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Cheripka; his children, Joseph Cheripka Jr. (Erin) and Melissa Baxter (Pat); his grandchildren, Dylan, Donovan, Braydon and Joey; his mother Helen Cheripka (Byrd); his siblings, George "Sonny" Cheripka (Chris), Richard Cheripka (Betty), Theresa Lugar (Larry), Helen "Lena" Eggleston (Frank) and Vince Cheripka (Lisa); and his sister-in-law Betsy Petrocelli (Bob). He is also survived by numerous nieces nephews and friends.

Masks and social distancing are required in the funeral home and church.
