Shidel, Jr. and Jennifer Obusek (Jason); his grandchild Allyson Obusek; his brothers, Tim (Kathy), John (Mary) and Rick (Sharon); his parents, Edward Jerome Shidel and Elizabeth Shidel; and his wife Valorie Shidel (Nichols). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
