He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Earle Yerkes, Sr. and Dorothy Yerkes (Doan); and his son David Yerkes. He is survived by: his wife Arlene Yerkes (Heyer); his children, Joseph A. Yerkes (Mary Kaye), Fay Kocan (Philip), Amy Krone (late Jerry), Hope Suber (Robert), Dawn Cifelli (Allen) and Denise Suber (David); and his sister Lorraine Yerkes. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company or Doylestown United Methodist Church would be appreciated.
