He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Swingle and Delia Vargson Swingle; his son-in-law Dale Hoffman; his grandson Jeremy Wilson; and his brothers, Mike, Pat, Bob and Roy Swingle.
He is survived by: his wife Betty J. Bodine Swingle; his children, Kay Robinson (Chris), Vicky Bressler (Phil), Randy Swingle Berwick (Mary), Linda Hoffman, Sherri Ney (Donald), Pam Scheib (Butch) and Bill Swingle, Jr. (Pam); and his brother Chuck Swingle. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
