He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Klahr and Naomi E. Schoener (Layser); his sister Mary Gillis (Schoener); and his former wife Vanessa Schoener (Maynard). He is survived by: his children, Dale Schoener and Lynn (Edwin Hathaway); his grandchildren, Jason Waltermeyer (Stacy), Jessica Waltermeyer and Jennifer Folk; his great grandchildren, Ezra and Jasper; and his sisters, Marlene Long and Ruth Gibbel (Rufus).
